Eileen Hawthorne

Eileen Hawthorne is an artist based in Fairfield, Iowa, specializing in pastel landscapes. Her work blends impressionism and realism, with vibrant colors and soft strokes building visions of quietude and poetic movement in pastoral, sylvan, and coastal settings.

Born and raised on the east coast, Eileen holds an A.A.S degree in Advertising Art and Design and has worked for Ad agencies in New York, New Jersey and San Diego and was an Art Director for AT&T’s Marketing and Art department at their headquarters in Morristown, NJ. She and her husband David moved from La Jolla, CA to Fairfield in 1986, where they have raised three children. She has served on the board of the Fairfield Art Association for about 18 years.
